Command restriction bypass via omitted MCP denylist
Published Jun 12, 2026 · Updated Jun 12, 2026
Access-control bypass in OpenClaw before 2026.5.12 allows local users to exceed command restrictions via bundled MCP session spawn. The bundled MCP loopback session-spawn path omits the exec denylist intended for that entry point, creating sessions with broader command reach. Exploitation requires the feature to be enabled and reachable by lower-trust input; consequences remain bounded by policy, approvals, allowlists, and sandboxing.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
