Cross-organization record disclosure via MCP queries
Published Apr 7, 2026 · Updated Apr 7, 2026
Incorrect authorization in runZero Platform before 4.0.260206.0 allows remote authenticated users to read other organizations' asset records. The MCP endpoint processes specific-record queries without consistently enforcing the requesting user's organization scope, returning confidential asset data from an organization the account cannot otherwise view. Exploitation requires high privileges and carefully chosen record queries, and the attacker cannot reliably control which out-of-scope records are returned.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
Public exploit references
No public exploit references are available in this record.
Labels summarize the accepted research assessment. They do not indicate a test against your environment.
