Authentication bypass in OpenClaw before 2026.5.7 allows remote authenticated users to gain unintended agent access through Matrix. The Matrix allowFrom policy treats mutable display-name metadata as identity and can match it to an entry intended for a different stable Matrix account. Exploitation requires an enabled, reachable Matrix allowFrom configuration and an account able to change its display name; resulting permissions depend on operator policy.
