Operator-assisted code execution via unscanned extension loading
Published Jun 11, 2026 · Updated Jun 11, 2026
Code injection in OpenClaw before 2026.5.18 allows attackers to execute plugin code through crafted marketplace extension metadata. The marketplace loader trusts runtime extension metadata from an operator-selected package and follows it to hidden package content outside entry points covered by security scanning. The affected feature must be enabled and reachable, and a trusted operator must select the package; successful exploitation runs unreviewed plugin code in the Gateway.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
