Unauthenticated file write via unrestricted upload endpoint
Published Jun 12, 2026 · Updated Jun 12, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in Amasty Order Attributes for Magento 2 before 4.0.0 allows remote attackers to write files to the store's media directory. The uploadFile REST endpoint accepts attacker-selected names and base64 content without authentication, session or cart checks, file-type validation, or path sanitization. PHP execution in pub/media turns an uploaded script into code execution as the web-server account; otherwise, uploads still support malware hosting, stored script execution, and path traversal.
