Plugin data destruction via unprotected GET requests

Published Sep 4, 2026 · Updated Sep 4, 2026

CSRF in Admidio 5.0.11 and earlier allows remote attackers to trigger plugin operations through an administrator's browser. The modules/plugins.php endpoint reads mode and name from GET requests and performs install, update, or uninstall actions without validating a CSRF token. An administrator must visit an attacker-controlled page; uninstalling a plugin runs its DROP TABLE script and irreversibly destroys that plugin's data.
