Service interruption via cyclic style recursion
Published Sep 14, 2026 · Updated Sep 14, 2026
Uncontrolled recursion in Plutext docx4j before 11.5.14 allows remote attackers to interrupt service with a crafted DOCX file. Reachability requires an application to process an untrusted DOCX through effective-style resolution; the resulting StackOverflowError terminates that worker thread and can degrade its pool.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
