CVE-2026-53725Network attack vector

MFA secret disclosure via raw-row fallback

Published Jun 12, 2026 · Updated Jun 12, 2026

Information disclosure in Parse Server 9.8.0 through 9.9.1-alpha.4 allows remote authenticated users to read MFA secrets and protected fields. The login and verifyPassword handlers fall back to the raw database user row when an access-controlled user re-fetch is denied, bypassing protected-field and authentication-data sanitization. Exploitation requires MFA, denied get permission on the User class, and a victim password; exposed TOTP secrets or recovery codes defeat the second factor without altering data.
