Open redirect and XSS via path misclassification
Published Jul 27, 2026 · Updated Jul 27, 2026
Open redirect and XSS in React Router 6.30.2 through 6.30.4 and 7.9.6 through 7.12.0 allow remote attackers to craft malicious links. The resolvePath function classified colon-bearing pathnames as absolute URLs and skipped double-slash path normalization. A consuming application must place attacker-controlled destinations in an open-redirect flow, and a user must follow the link; exploitation redirects the browser or executes script in the application's origin.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=>= 6.30.2, <= 6.30.4
