CVE-2026-53661Network attack vector

Session hijacking via insecure cookie transport

Published Jun 11, 2026 · Updated Jun 11, 2026

Sensitive-cookie exposure in Boruta before 0.9.1 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to steal authenticated sessions via plaintext HTTP. The boruta_web, boruta_identity, and boruta_admin endpoint configurations omit the Secure attribute from shared session cookies and persistent login cookies. Exploitation requires plaintext HTTP on the same origin plus observation or interception of a browser request, exposing a valid cookie for account impersonation.
