Authentication steering via unescaped LDAP username
Published Sep 15, 2026 · Updated Sep 15, 2026
LDAP injection in Hyperledger Fabric CA before 1.5.21 allows remote attackers to alter directory searches through crafted usernames. Client.GetUser formats an HTTP Basic username directly into the configured LDAP UserFilter without escaping filter metacharacters. Exposure requires a network-reachable enrollment endpoint and an enabled LDAP backend; successful injection can steer password validation toward a victim account.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
