Drive-by local file disclosure via wildcard CORS
Published Aug 21, 2026 · Updated Aug 21, 2026
Origin validation errors in Voxel51 FiftyOne before 1.17.0 allow remote attackers to read local files through a malicious website. The App/API server and /media route set Access-Control-Allow-Origin to a wildcard, while /media accepts a filesystem path without authentication. Exploitation requires a locally running server and a visit to an attacker-controlled page; readable files are limited to the server process's access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
