Stored XSS via raw analytics identifier interpolation
Published Jun 12, 2026 · Updated Jun 12, 2026
Stored XSS in @apostrophecms/seo 1.4.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in visitors' browsers. The lib/nodes.js renderer inserts seoGoogleTrackingId and seoGoogleTagManager into raw script bodies through template literals without validation or escaping. Editor-level access, the installed SEO module, enabled seoGoogleAnalytics, and publication of the global document are required; the payload then runs on every page for every visitor.
