CVE-2026-53579Public exploitHinoki check available

Code execution via unsanitized imported book notes

Published Aug 27, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026

Stored XSS in Trilium Notes 0.103.0 and earlier allows attackers to execute code via an imported malicious book note. The ZIP importer applies Safe import sanitization only to text notes, while book content reaches GridView and jQuery's html method unchanged. A victim must import the crafted archive and open its containing note; Node integration then turns renderer script execution into arbitrary code execution on the desktop host.
