Authenticated command execution via unsanitized pcdb_list parameter
Published Apr 2, 2026 · Updated Apr 2, 2026
OS command injection in TRENDnet TEW-657BRM 1.00.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through setup.cgi. The Edit function passes the request's pcdb_list value to SYSTEM without validation, so shell metacharacters alter the executed command. Access to the web management interface and valid credentials are required; successful exploitation runs attacker-selected commands on the router.
