CVE-2026-53509Network attack vector

Internal data disclosure via loopback hostname aliases

Published Aug 21, 2026 · Updated Aug 21, 2026

SSRF in onData CKAN MCP Server before 0.4.106 allows remote authenticated users to read internal CKAN data through crafted server URLs. The validateServerUrl logic in src/utils/http.ts compares the parsed hostname as a string, so Linux aliases such as ip6-localhost bypass literal loopback checks and resolve to ::1. Exploitation requires permission to invoke CKAN tools and a target endpoint returning a CKAN-shaped response, limiting disclosure to response-derived data.
