Path traversal in Dell PowerProtect Data Domain 7.7.1.0 through 8.7 allows remote authenticated users to modify files. Dell has not disclosed the affected request handler, pathname field, or the filesystem operation that fails to confine the supplied path to its intended directory. Exploitation requires a high-privileged account with network access and permits unauthorized file modification without file disclosure or service interruption.
