Unauthenticated file write via chained tar symlinks

Path traversal in KubeV2V Assisted Migration Agent before 0.16.0 allows remote attackers on the same LAN to write arbitrary files. The PUT /inspector/vddk handler passes gzipped tar entries to extractTarGz, whose lexical path check does not resolve parent-directory symlinks already on disk. An unauthenticated LAN-adjacent sender can chain a symlink entry with a later file entry, escaping the extraction directory and overwriting files as UID 1001; targeted cache or configuration writes enable code execution and credential exposure.
