Cross-tenant data modification via unchecked JWT source ID
Published Jun 10, 2026 · Updated Jun 10, 2026
Authorization bypass in KubeV2V OpenShift Migration Advisor before 0.13.5 allows remote authenticated users to modify other tenants' data. The UpdateSourceInventory and UpdateAgentStatus handlers trust the requested source ID without comparing it with the JWT source_id claim. Any valid agent token grants cross-tenant write access to overwrite inventory, plant credential URLs, or corrupt migration assessments.
