Application crash via stale SF3 buffer sizing

Heap buffer overflow in ImageMagick before 7.1.2-25 allows local users to crash an application by encoding a crafted multi-frame SF3 image. WriteSF3Image reused its quantum pixel buffer across frames without resetting the buffer depth for each frame, allowing ExportQuantumPixels to write beyond an undersized allocation. Exploitation requires local invocation of an affected encoder path with a crafted image sequence, and the documented consequence is interruption of the encoding application.
