Unauthenticated SSRF via unvalidated image URL
Published Apr 2, 2026 · Updated Apr 2, 2026
Server-side request forgery in HmEditor 2.2.0 through 2.2.3 allows remote attackers to reach internal HTTP services. The POST /image-to-base64 handler in src/mcp-server.js passes req.body.url directly to the selected HTTP or HTTPS client's get method without filtering destinations. Reachability requires access to the route and server egress; exploitation probes internal services, retrieves exposed metadata, or prolongs request handling.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
