Unauthenticated file disclosure via unchecked recordingPath
Published Aug 19, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026
Path traversal in Ground Station before 0.4.13 allows remote attackers to read constrained local JSON files without authentication. backend/handlers/entities/sdr.py stores the Socket.IO recordingPath unchanged, and sigmfprobe.py opens the resulting .sigmf-meta path without restricting it to the recordings directory. Disclosure requires readable JSON in a .sigmf-meta file with a sibling .sigmf-data file; other file formats and unmatched metadata files are not exposed.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
