CVE-2026-53435Network attack vector

Authenticated code execution via untyped config deserialization

Published Jun 10, 2026 · Updated Jun 10, 2026

Deserialization in Jenkins 2.567 and earlier and LTS 2.555.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code. XStream accepts a crafted config.xml object whose core or plugin type does not match the target collection's declared element type, leaving it reachable through Stapler HTTP routing. Overall/Read plus a nonanonymous account or permission to post config.xml is required; exploitation enables user impersonation, controller file reads, and Script Console execution.
