Authenticated root command execution via unsanitized GPON setting
Published Apr 2, 2026 · Updated Apr 2, 2026
Command injection in Tenda G103 1.0.0.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary system commands through GPON settings. The action_set_net_settings function in gpon.lua concatenates the authLoid value into fw_setenv and uci shell commands without validation or escaping. A valid administrative session token and cookies reach the handler, after which shell metacharacters execute commands with root privileges and permit device takeover.
