Kernel memory corruption via unlocked list deletion
Published Jul 19, 2026 · Updated Jul 19, 2026
Race condition in the RZ/V2H IVC media driver in Linux Kernel 6.19 allows local users to corrupt kernel memory through concurrent access. The rzv2h_ivc_transfer_buffer() workqueue calls list_del() on rzv2h_ivc::buffers.queue without holding buffers.lock, allowing concurrent list mutation. Local low-privileged access is required; published sources do not identify a trigger interface or demonstrated exploit consequence.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
