Local service interruption via uninitialized dentry time
Published Jun 26, 2026 · Updated Jun 26, 2026
Uninitialized-value use in Linux Kernel 6.16 through 6.18.33 and 6.19 through 7.0.9 allows local users to interrupt service via FUSE lookup. The lookup_open path can pass a newly allocated dentry from __d_alloc to fuse_dentry_revalidate before d_time has been initialized, and the revalidation function reads that value. Reaching the flaw requires local low-privileged access and a FUSE lookup path; the published consequence is limited to kernel availability.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
