CVE-2026-53273

Local privilege escalation via OP-TEE request race

Published Jun 25, 2026 · Updated Jun 25, 2026

Use-after-free in the OP-TEE driver in affected Linux kernel releases allows local users to corrupt kernel memory through a client-exit race. In drivers/tee/optee/supp.c, a departing client frees an optee_supp_req while its ID remains in supp->idr, so the supplicant path later dereferences freed memory. A low-privileged local user must reach the TEE client ioctl path while tee-supplicant processes the request; successful exploitation grants kernel privileges or interrupts service.
