CVE-2026-53245

Service interruption via faulty MRP parser accounting

Published Jun 25, 2026 · Updated Jun 25, 2026

Improper MRP vector parsing in affected Linux Kernel releases allows attackers to interrupt service via crafted vector attributes. mrp_pdu_parse_vecattr fails to decrement valen after each third event, consumes FirstValue when valen is zero, and reuses an attribute value across event-byte boundaries. Attackers must be able to deliver link-layer MRP traffic to the kernel parser; the resulting corruption is limited to MRP state and subsequent PDU parsing.
