Kernel memory corruption via unlocked reassembly ownership check
Published Jun 25, 2026 · Updated Jun 25, 2026
Use-after-free in Linux Kernel allows remote authenticated users to corrupt kernel memory via crafted IPTFS packet reassembly. The __input_process_payload function reads xtfs->ra_newskb after releasing drop_lock, allowing concurrent reassembly to free first_skb before trim, checksum, and consume operations reuse it. Reachability requires the IPTFS/XFRM path; successful exploitation can compromise kernel confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
