Kernel crash via timed-out RSU channel reuse
Published Jun 25, 2026 · Updated Jun 25, 2026
NULL pointer dereference in Linux Kernel 6.19 through 7.0.12 and 7.1 release candidates allows local users to crash affected systems. On an rsu_send_msg() timeout, stratix10_rsu_probe() frees the service channel, queues another request, and leaves the receive callback to dereference the cleared chan->scl pointer. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access, a Stratix10 RSU device, and a pending SMC call that times out; the bounded consequence is a kernel crash.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
