CVE-2026-53143

Kernel memory disclosure and corruption via MQD overcopy

Published Jun 25, 2026 · Updated Jun 25, 2026

Out-of-bounds access in the Linux Kernel amdkfd GFX11 MQD manager allows local users to disclose or corrupt adjacent GTT memory. The v11 manager assigns compute checkpoint and restore handlers to 512-byte SDMA MQDs, so each handler copies 2,048 bytes and overruns the buffer by 1,536 bytes. Exploitation requires local low-privilege access, a Navi3x GPU, and CRIU checkpoint or restore of an SDMA queue; checkpointing leaks memory, while restoration corrupts ring data or neighboring MQDs.
