Local kernel oops via uninitialized display state
Published Jun 25, 2026 · Updated Jun 25, 2026
NULL pointer dereference in the Linux Kernel xe display driver allows local users to trigger an oops during suspend or shutdown. The xe_display_flush_cleanup_work() function iterates CRTCs on an uninitialized mode configuration after runtime initialization clears display information. Reachability requires xe display hardware disabled by fuses and the suspend or shutdown path; the resulting oops interrupts that sequence.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
