Unauthenticated reboot and storage disclosure via CGI
Published Apr 1, 2026 · Updated Apr 1, 2026
Improper access control in D-Link storage appliances 20260205 and earlier allows remote attackers to reboot or read disk status. The dsk_mgr.cgi handler exposes FMT_restart without authentication and returns physical-disk, SMART, volume, RAID, scan, and rebuild data through multiple status actions without checking a session. Network reachability alone is sufficient; a restart interrupts service, while the read-only actions disclose storage layout and operational state.
