CVE-2026-5310Public exploit

Credential disclosure via machine-independent encryption key

Published Apr 1, 2026 · Updated Apr 1, 2026

Hard-coded key use in Enter Srl Iperius Backup 8.7.0 through 8.7.2 allows local users to decrypt stored credentials offline. IperiusAccounts.ini stores AES-256-CBC ciphertext encrypted with a machine-independent key derived by one SHA-1 pass over a static string embedded in Iperius.exe. Any local user who can read the configuration file can recover saved SMB, SQL, SMTP, FTP, and cloud-storage passwords without administrative access.
