Local denial of service via undersized address array

Heap buffer overflow in the Linux Kernel EFI capsule loader allows local users to interrupt affected 32-bit PAE systems. __efi_capsule_setup_info() reallocates cap_info->phys using pointer size instead of phys_addr_t size, then efi_capsule_write() stores 64-bit physical addresses into the undersized array. Reachability requires a 32-bit PAE kernel and local access to the EFI capsule-loader interface; 64-bit systems are not affected by this size mismatch.
