Missing authentication in CoolerControl coolercontrold 0.14.0 through 3.1.1 allows remote attackers to read and modify data via HTTP. The 3.1.1 API router exposes device, status, profile, mode, settings, plugin, alert, log, and event routes without authentication middleware, including a UI-settings write handler. Access is unauthenticated, but network reachability depends on deployment because the daemon binds to loopback by default; exposed instances disclose hardware and configuration data and accept state changes.
