CVE-2026-52986Network attack vector

Out-of-bounds read via unterminated SIP port

Published Jun 24, 2026 · Updated Jun 24, 2026

Out-of-bounds access in Linux Kernel nf_conntrack_sip allows remote attackers to read beyond an skb buffer via crafted SIP traffic. The epaddr_len(), ct_sip_parse_header_uri(), and ct_sip_parse_request() paths pass non-NUL-terminated skb data to simple_strtoul() and dereference pointers after sip_parse_addr() without checking the buffer limit. The SIP conntrack helper must process a malformed port at the end of a packet buffer; kernel.org reports no specific crash, disclosure, or code-execution consequence.
