Guest memory corruption via host-controlled cleanup size
Published Jun 24, 2026 · Updated Jun 24, 2026
Memory corruption in Linux Kernel allows attackers controlling an SEV-SNP host to corrupt guest page allocator state through a crafted length response. In get_ext_report(), an invalid-length host response overwrites certs_len, which is then converted into a page order that can differ from the certificate buffer's original allocation. Triggering requires an extended guest request and a host-supplied SNP_GUEST_VMM_ERR_INVALID_LEN response; corruption occurs when the guest frees the buffer.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
