CVE-2026-5295Public exploit

Memory corruption via oversized ORI object identifier

Published Apr 9, 2026 · Updated Apr 9, 2026

Stack buffer overflow in wolfSSL before 5.9.1 allows attackers to corrupt memory by supplying a crafted CMS EnvelopedData message. wc_PKCS7_DecryptOri() copies an ASN.1-parsed ORI object identifier into the 32-byte oriOID stack buffer without checking its length. Reachability requires PKCS7 support and an application-registered ORI decrypt callback; published evidence establishes stack corruption but not code execution.
