Subscriber-level stored XSS via unchecked theme update
Published May 20, 2026 · Updated May 20, 2026
Stored XSS in OLIVESYSTEM Diagnosis Generator 1.4.16 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via the js parameter. The admin_init-hooked themeFunc() accepts theme-update requests without checking capabilities, while save() removes escaping with stripslashes() before JavaScript is written to theme files. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and the stored script runs when a page containing the diagnosis-form shortcode is viewed.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
