Sandbox escape via Compositing use-after-free
Published Apr 1, 2026 · Updated Apr 1, 2026
Use-after-free in Google Chrome Compositing before 146.0.7680.178 allows remote attackers with renderer control to escape the sandbox. Compositing accesses freed memory while processing crafted page content, but the restricted Chromium issue does not disclose the object or code path. Exploitation requires crafted HTML and prior compromise of the renderer process; the flaw is a second-stage escape rather than the initial compromise.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
