Board data tampering via read-level authorization
Published Jul 15, 2026 · Updated Jul 15, 2026
Missing authorization in WeKan before 9.32 allows remote authenticated users to alter board custom fields through REST requests. Six mutating handlers in server/models/customFields.js call checkBoardAccess, which admits read-only members, instead of checkBoardWriteAccess. Exploitation requires invited read-only board membership and the opt-in REST API; the consequence is limited to intra-board field integrity.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
