Sandbox escape via Navigation use after free
Published Apr 1, 2026 · Updated Apr 1, 2026
Use after free in Google Chrome before 146.0.7680.178 allows remote attackers with renderer compromise to escape the sandbox via crafted HTML. The Navigation subsystem accesses an object after its lifetime ends, but Google has not published the affected object or code path. A victim must load attacker-controlled HTML after renderer compromise; successful exploitation crosses the browser sandbox and can expose the host.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
