CVE-2026-52855Network attack vector

Node compromise via unrestricted configuration templating

Published Jul 31, 2026 · Updated Jul 31, 2026

Information disclosure in Pterodactyl Wings before 1.12.3 allows remote authenticated users to read node secrets via egg templates. The ConfigurationFile parser resolves user-influenced {{config.*}} placeholders against the full marshaled daemon configuration and writes the results into server files. A server owner or subuser with startup.update permission can retrieve the daemon token through the file manager or SFTP and forge tokens for every server on the node.
