Persistent RCE via cron-trigger shell command injection
Published Sep 2, 2026 · Updated Sep 3, 2026
OS command injection in Iguazio Nuclio before 1.16.4 allows remote attackers to execute commands through crafted cron triggers. generateCronTriggerCronJobSpec concatenates unescaped event.headers keys and shell-expandable event.body text into a curl string executed by /bin/sh -c. The default unauthenticated Dashboard API permits network-reachable attackers to create the trigger, and its CronJob can keep executing after function deletion because it lacks an owner reference.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
