CVE-2026-52821Network attack vectorHinoki check available

Cross-scope object creation via unchecked parent identifiers

Published Sep 15, 2026 · Updated Sep 15, 2026

Improper authorization in Kimai before 2.57.0 allows remote authenticated users to create child objects under unauthorized parents. ActivityController and ProjectController accept preset project or customer IDs from creation-route URLs and save children without checking edit access to the parent. A valid account with create_activity or create_project permission and a known parent ID is required; injected records can affect timesheet choices and inherited rates.
