CVE-2026-52820Network attack vectorHinoki check available

Cross-team data tampering via project-ID OR bypass

Published Sep 15, 2026 · Updated Sep 15, 2026

Authorization bypass in Kimai 2.56.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to alter timesheet attribution and read project metadata. ProjectRepository::getQueryBuilderForFormType() places a submitted project ID in an unconditional OR branch that bypasses team-access criteria. Default ROLE_USER access with edit_own_timesheet is sufficient; the user can change only an owned timesheet but can expose otherwise hidden project and customer details.
