Authenticated local repository import via unvalidated mirror address
Published Jun 24, 2026 · Updated Jun 24, 2026
Improper input validation in Gogs before 0.14.3 allows remote authenticated users to import server-local Git repositories through Mirror Settings. SettingsPost passed the supplied mirror address directly to SaveAddress without ParseRemoteAddr checks for local-path permission or blocked local addresses. Repository settings access is required, and successful exploitation exposes any repository readable by the Gogs service account.
