Organization owner takeover via CSRF-prone GET actions
Published Jun 24, 2026 · Updated Jun 24, 2026
CSRF in organization team management in Gogs before 0.14.3 allows remote attackers to gain organization owner privileges via a crafted link. The TeamsAction route accepts GET requests, while global CSRF validation runs only for POST, and it adds the named user based on URL parameters. Exploitation requires a logged-in organization owner to open the link; success gives the attacker control of organization repositories, settings, and members.
