Arbitrary code execution via Web MIDI use-after-free
Published Apr 1, 2026 · Updated Apr 1, 2026
Use after free in Web MIDI in Google Chrome on Android before 146.0.7680.178 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via crafted HTML. The public record identifies Web MIDI as the locus but does not disclose which object is freed or which later operation dereferences it. Exploitation requires a user to load attacker-controlled HTML, after which code execution can compromise the browser process on Android.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
